Katrina Bois

Ballet Instructor, Rehearsal Director

Katrina received her formal ballet training by Li Yaming at Pacific DanceArts. Upon graduation, Katrina began her professional career with Stadttheatre Bremerhaven in Germany under Artistic Director, Joerg Mannes. She has since worked with choreographers such as Margie Gillis, Grant Strate, and Cornelius Fisher-Credo. In addition, Katrina has toured internationally as the lead in Marius Petipa's ballet Paquita. Katrina continued her career, dancing with Ben Stevenson's Texas Ballet Theater and, recently, alongside Ballet BC and Alberta Ballet in Cathedral Grove, choreographed by Alberta Ballet artistic director, Jean Grand-Maitre.

Since her professional ballet career Katrina has been known for her teaching and rehearsal skills. She has rehearsed numerous pieces of all genres for dancers of all levels and ages. Furthermore, Katrina has rehearsed and accompanied several dancers selected as finalists to such international ballet competitions as the Beijing International Ballet Invitational in Beijing, China, the Youth America Grand Prix Finals in New York City and the USA International Ballet Competition in Jackson, Mississippi.

Katrina is also known for her remarkable skills in staging and rehearsing classical ballet. In 2008, Katrina staged and rehearsed Act II of Swan Lake with a corps de ballet of 22 dancers. She has also staged the Grand Pas de Deux from Raymonda as well as La Bayadere's 'Kingdom of the Shades.' At Coastal City Ballet, Katrina has had the opportunity to rehearse Irene Schneider's Hansel and Gretel and to stage the full-length ballets A Midsummer Night's Dream, Hansel and Gretel and Coppelia.

Katrina is excited to continue bringing her teaching and rehearsal skills to the faculty of Pacific DanceArts.
