School Policy
ADMISSIONS:

All admissions to Professional Training Programs will be by audition and under the discretion of the school's artistic director. Admission to General Programs will be based on dance experience and age appropriateness. If there are any questions in regards to a student’s abilities, an audition will be held to determine the most appropriate class(es) available. Pas de deux classes require teachers' permission in advance.

RULES OF CONDUCT:

All students are expected to treat teachers/staff as well as each other with respect and courtesy during classes and on the premises of Pacific DanceArts. Any student who fails to comply with reasonable rules of conduct or with a disruptive behavior in classes will be dismissed from Pacific DanceArts. Students who miss class regularly will disrupt the progress of their peers and therefore may be asked to withdraw from the class/programs as attendance is essential for student progress and class development. Students who are inappropriately dressed will not be permitted into classes. Students or parents who feel a need to address a specific concern may submit a written complaint to the office. This concern will be brought to the school director who will speak to the parties involved and possibly arrange a meeting to try to resolve the conflict.

TUITION / REFUND: - (For General Program students only)

The first month tuition plus the $30.00 yearly nonrefundable registration fee are payable on the day of registration. Three (3) postdated (October 1, January 1 and April 1) term payments are required to complete the registration for students with a monthly tuition of $100.00 or less. Students with a monthly tuition greater than $100.00, have the option to pay by nine (9) postdated (First day of each month) cheques, from October through June. All returned cheques will be charged a $30.00 service fee. A separate fee may be charged for registration in any extra programs. (i.e. Summer School or Special Workshop). For students participating in performances, the extra rehearsals as well as stage rehearsals are mandatory. The tuition fee does not include the fees for rehearsals, costumes and exams. All new students are required to fill in an emergency contact form before their first class.

TERMINATION / WITHDRAW

Termination or withdrawal of classes/programs requires a 30 day written notice. A one-month fee for the classes/programs registered will be charged. Cancellation of a private lesson requires a 24 hours notice. Without this notice, the full fee will be charged.
